Zabuton Meditation Cushion – 24 Inch Square, 3 Colors

A zabuton is the flat, square cushion traditionally placed under a zafu (or another sitting cushion) to cushion your knees and ankles during floor sitting. This one is a generous 24" x 24", filled with buckwheat hulls, and comes in three cotton colors.

Why you'll like it

• A zabuton cushions your knees and ankles while a zafu (or other cushion) raises your hips, so the two work well together for meditation or floor sitting.
• Generous 24" x 24" size gives you plenty of room to sit or kneel.
• Buckwheat hulls shift and settle under you rather than compressing flat.
• Choose from Gray, Light Gray, or Undyed Cotton to match your space.

Details

• Size: 24" x 24", square
• Cover: Cotton, in Gray, Light Gray, or Undyed Cotton
• Fill: Buckwheat hulls
• Feel: Firm and stable, with a bit of give as the hulls settle

How to adjust the fill

A zabuton is meant to stay flat rather than adjust in height, so most people leave the fill as is. If you'd like a different feel, our firmness and fill guide explains how to add or remove hulls.

Good to know

Buckwheat hulls make a soft rustling sound and add real weight compared with a foam mat. Natural cotton can show slight variations in color and texture from piece to piece.

Care

Spot clean the cover as needed and keep the hulls away from moisture. Full care guide
