Zafu & Zabuton Meditation Cushion Set – Undyed Cotton

This two-piece set pairs a round zafu with a matching zabuton, both in undyed cotton and filled with buckwheat hulls. Sit on the zabuton alone, or stack the zafu on top for a traditional, elevated seat — the two are designed to work together for meditation, yoga, or floor sitting.

Why you'll like it

• The zafu raises your hips while the zabuton cushions your knees and ankles beneath it — together they make longer floor sitting easier to hold.
• Choose your zabuton size — 18", 20", or 23" square — to match your space.
• Both pieces are filled with buckwheat hulls and close with a zipper, so you can adjust each one separately.
• Undyed cotton on both pieces for a simple, natural look.
• Handmade in small batches.

Details

• Size: Zafu 13" x 13" x 5"; Zabuton 18" x 18", 20" x 20", or 23" x 23" (your choice)
• Cover: Undyed cotton with a zipper closure, both pieces
• Fill: Buckwheat hulls
• Feel: Firm with give, adjustable by adding or removing hulls

What's included

• 1 Zafu meditation cushion, 13" x 13" x 5", filled with about 6 lb of buckwheat hulls
• 1 Zabuton floor cushion in your chosen size — Bundle 1: 18" x 18" (about 8–9 lb of hulls); Bundle 2: 20" x 20" (about 9–10 lb of hulls); Bundle 3: 23" x 23" (about 11–12 lb of hulls)

How to adjust the fill

Unzip either cover and add or remove hulls to change the height and firmness. See our firmness and fill guide for the full walkthrough.

Good to know

Buckwheat hulls make a soft rustling sound as they move and add real weight compared with foam. Undyed cotton can show slight natural variation in color and texture.

Care

Open each zipper and set the hulls aside in a clean container — don't wash them. Machine wash the cotton covers in cold water on a gentle cycle, air dry completely, then refill. Full care guide
